Astra Ryba – is one of the partner of Current Research Project
Advancing Reliability, Renewable Integration, and Training for Global Impact
Offshore aquaculture is key to meeting global seafood demand, but harsh ocean conditions create safety and sustainability challenges.
This project, led by QMUL (Queen Mary University London)-UK, in partnership with the universities NTUA(National Technical University of Athens)-Greece, IITM(IIT Madras) -India, WVCST(Wenzhou Vocational College of Science and Technology)-China, and industrial/end- users, AKVA-group-Norway, Griffon-Marine-UK, BFP-tech-Greece, Astra-Ryba-India and WFMD-China, will develop safer, more resilient offshore fish farming systems.
By integrating advanced engineering, vessel-design, renewable energy, and industry expertise, we will enhance infrastructure reliability, reduce environmental impact, and improve worker safety. Training programmes will support local communities, ensuring safer operations and long-term sustainability. This initiative will drive innovation, empower coastal communities, and make offshore aquaculture safer and more efficient.
